Consignor Information

  • You will receive 70% of the price you set for your items.
  • If you consign with us you will receive A presale Consignor pass as well as a guest passes to share with your friends.
  • Consignor Checks will be mailed within 2 weeks of the end of the sale.

    What we will be accepting
  • Consignors must have a minimum of 10 items and a maxium of 50 items.  Be selective and only bring your very best items!
  • We will be checking your items upon reciept. All items are subject to our approval.

 

  • Clothes: All Seasons and in all sizes
    All clothes must be on hangers and should be in excellent condition. They should be clean, ironed, starched if needed and smell good.  We will be accepting size 0 to plus sizes.

    Accepted categories include (but are not limited to):
    Casual wear, Active wear, Business, Evening, Jeans, Sweaters, Jackets, Shorts, Skirts, Tops, Dresses, Blazers, Suits and Pants.
  • We will not accept undergarments and swimsuits.
  • Out of consideration to ALL of our consignors we will not be accepting clothes that are torn, stained, that smell of cigarette smoke or clothes that are covered with pet hair.

  • Shoes: All Seasons
    Shoes must be in excellent condition, with no scuffs or visible signs of wear.

    Accepted categories include (but are not limited to):
    Comforts, Flats, Platforms, Mules and clogs, Pumps, Sandals, Sneakers, Wedges, Boots.

  • Belts and handbags: All Seasons
    Accessories must be in excellent condition. 

**** Clothes not sold will be donated to various charities.  So if you want to donate items please fill out the registration forms and tell us you perfer to donate all your items that do not sell.   Also, write a "D" on your tags. ****

General Selling hints and tips

General Tips
Spending a little extra time preparing your items will go a long way in impressing buyers and generating more sales for you.  Your items should be clean, ironed, starched if needed and smell good.  Items should be in excellent condition and up to date.  Ask yourself, "Would I buy this?" Close all zippers, buttons, snaps and belts on your clothing. There should be NO stains or tears in your clothing.
 
All clothes must be on hangers, with the hooks facing to the left (like a question mark).  We recommend using wire hangers or the sturdier plastic hangers.  You can also use the plastic hangers with the metal clips or clothes pins for pants and skirts. They work well.  Please do not use the light plastic hangers you get from the retail stores because they break easily. If you have sets please hang them on separate hangers and tie the hangers together with a ribbon or rubber band. Tag the articles of clothing with two tags, one tag will have all your information and the other tag will be just your consignor # and description, and 2nd piece. Example: 1 of 2 items. There will be more information on how to tag and hanging your items on the tagging info page.  

  • Most dry cleaners will give you wire hangers for free.
     
    Tips on Pricing
    Price your items competitively.  A good guide is to price the item at 1/3 to 1/2 of the original selling price.  Of course you need to take into consideration the name brand and condition of the item.  We also recommended that if you are going to donate your items to a charity that you mark them for our half price sale which could mean an extra chance for you to make more sales. 
  • Remember there is a limit of 50 items total.
* A $10.00 registration fee will be charged to all consignors. This fee will be collected at clothing drop off.   Please  bring exact change.  Please bring your registration forms to check in with your $10.00 registration fee.  $1.00 of the registration fee will go towards COMEC.


* Consignor checks will be mailed 2 weeks after the sale has ended.

Consignors must pick up unsold items on Sunday, September 21, 2008 by 7:00pm.  

If you cannot pick up your unsold items during those times on Sunday, please make arrangements with someone to pick them up for you.  We are under strict time deadlines with the Agricenter International.  ALL ITEMS left after 7:00pm Sunday will be donated immediately to a charity.

We will be accepting Cash or check (ID required and there is a $35.00 returned check fee). 
 The Agricenter does have an ATM machine on site!

All sales are final!

  • Bonus shifts available
  • 2 1/2 -4 hour shifts available and split shifts available. We know how hard it is to get away from our families so we added smaller shifts so it would be easier for you to come and help out and be able to shop early for yourself.  We appreciate ANY time you can spare.

    By Volunteering at our sale you will have the opportunity to shop early and get the best bargains.  Shifts will consist of
  • 2 1/2- 4 hours increments but you can work longer if you can and be able to get in earlier than anyone else.  The more time you volunteer the more opportunities you will have to get the first picks.  We appreciate all of your help!!!

We will be providing a promotional table at our sale for you to advertise your buinesses. If you would like to advertise with us and promote your business you may bring business cards, coupons, magnets, pencils, toothbrushes, notepads, fliers, etc. then please contact us at whatsnyourcloset@yahoo.com

Promotional item details

Payment of $15.00 (Checks written out to WNYC)
You can bring as many promotional items that will fit on our promotional table. Space will be limited so sign up early to reserve your spot.
Items should not be larger than 8 1/2 by 11 inches.
